Sick Daze

it feels good to be up right. i have been vertical horitzontal (oops!...thanks jess) for way too long. my girls are finally getting better, and i am too. when did april creep its way in. i missed april fools day. oh no tom foolery here...just lots of tea,toast, board games, hot coco, tylenol and yes t.v.

Home, very sweet, Home

The girls and i were off island for 2 1/2 weeks. It was just enough time for target, nordstrom, marshalls, banana republic, joanns fabric, rag shop and good chinese food. It was so nice to reconnect with my old friends, see new families grow, be with my family, and check out the old neighborhood.

We came home to this beautiful silhouette of coco. I had taken a series of profile shots of coco and B surprised us with this beauty. He photocopied the photo onto transparency paper and used our overhead projector to trace and paint this silhouette.

We're back and it feels good to be home. i have a great appreciation for this beautiful island and all of the wonderful people who live here.

Small House=Shed

Our WIP is finally finished. B's design and Adriano's handy work. Notice the antique doors: these were purchased at a yard sale in West Tisbury for $20, we bought them for the doorknobs. They sat in our basement for two years....and now, here they hang. the other 4 are off to the dumptique.
My BIG plan...clean out the basement..viola...a sewing studio. Here's hoping
